Becoming a Law Review Member

Incoming second-year law students achieve membership in the Law Review via a competitive "write-on" process that tests legal writing and technical editing skills. Second-year students become editors when they complete an original note or comment and gain requisite production experience.

Transfer Students

We encourage potential and admitted transfer students to write-on to the UC Davis Law Review. Transfer students write-on during the summer before they begin classes at King Hall.
This year, the competition begins on Monday, August 3, at 9:00 a.m. Completed packets are due Sunday, August 9, at 5:00 p.m. Candidates must complete an online honor code form by Thursday, July 30, at noon in order to compete. (All times are Pacific.) The form is at
