Submission Process

The UC Davis Law Review is not currently accepting submissions. We will resume reviewing this August. Please note that we do not accept submissions from J.D. candidates at other law schools.

Footnotes should conform to the The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (19th ed. 2010).

Please submit articles via ExpressO or by email . All submissions should be in either MS Word or Adobe PDF format and should include a table of contents. Authors should provide a curriculum vitae and a cover letter with the author's name, affiliation, address, phone number, and email address.

The Law Review will not return submissions nor assume responsibility for lost manuscripts.

Expedite Requests

We accept expedite requests by ExpressO or by email. Please include the phrase "Expedited Review Request" in the subject line and provide the following information:

  1. Name
  2. Law School or Organization
  3. Article Name
  4. Phone Number
  5. E-mail Address
  6. Requested Review Deadline - The UC Davis Law Review generally requires seven business days to complete an expedited review.
  7. Name of the competing journal

We will respond promptly by email to all expedite requests. If you have made an expedite request and have not received a response within twenty-four hours, please contact us again.

The Law Review will contact authors by 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the day of the deadline. If the authors have not heard from the Law Review by that time, please contact our office.
